The recently opened HOUSE OF ZEBRA in the Northern NSW coastal town of Kingscliff is not just a clothing boutique, nor a homewares store, nor an espresso bar, it’s a combination of all three. Oh and did I mention you can get a massage there as well?
This collaborative venture is the brainchild of Erin and Trent who used to run the vintage clothing boutique Gasoline Alley in Kingscliff. They saw the opportunity to take on the old two-story building and expand it into somewhere people could relax while they shop. The old bookshop is a rabbit warren of rooms, each which has been beautifully done up and presented with something different so that you really get to explore this place, upstairs and down.
Erin's inspiration for homewares and gifts is gained from her extensive travels and she wanted to be able to offer wares that are affordable, yet different. They stock some amazing industrial vintage look furniture, quirky knick-knacks and there is even a room full of goodies for the kids. Clothing labels include Free People and there is something to suit all ages and sexes.
Barista Sam makes the most incredible coffee from the old copper piped, handmade sculptural coffee machine from the 1930's that is not only a work of art but functional to boot and to top it off you can sit outside in the sun to enjoy your hard earned reprise and ready to go for more shopping or a stroll on the beach.
Find them at 4 Seaview St, Kingscliff, NSW (just off marine parade at the fig tree roundabout) or contact Erin or Trent on 02 6674 8538. They are open 7 days a week.
